Meet our Imam

Imam Faridbeg Mirza is a seasoned Islamic scholar and religious leader with over 30 years of experience serving Muslim communities across the globe. A certified Hafiz, Qari, Aalim, and Imam, he completed an intensive 11-year program in traditional Islamic studies at Darul Uloom Falah-e-Darain in Gujarat, India—equivalent to a master’s degree in Islamic scholarship.
Currently serving as the Imam of Masjid Al Noor in Fairfield, California since 2002, Imam Faridbeg leads daily prayers, Friday sermons, and community religious functions, while offering spiritual counseling, Islamic education, funeral services, wedding ceremonies, and youth programs. As an experienced Hajj group leader, he guides pilgrims through the sacred rituals and provides historical and religious context throughout their journey.
His work spans multiple continents, with prior leadership roles in India, South Africa, and the United States. Deeply committed to social service, Imam Faridbeg volunteers as a Muslim chaplain in hospitals, visits prisons to educate and counsel inmates, actively engages in interfaith dialogue, and supports community welfare programs including services for the homeless.
Fluent in English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, and Gujarati, with an advanced understanding of Farsi, Imam Faridbeg speaks, reads, and writes in multiple languages—allowing him to connect with diverse communities and bridge cultural gaps in his outreach and teachings. His dedication to community harmony and Islamic education continues to have a profound impact locally and internationally.
